National Science Foundation's Very large Array and other powerful telescopes have helped astronomers to identify an object from space which emits repetitive fast radio bursts (FRB), "raising more questions about the nature of these little-understood objects and the role they play in intergalactic space". The object is located in the outskirts of a dwarf galaxy, about 3 billion light-years away.
"The astronomers speculated that as FRB 190520 ages and the dense material surrounding it dissipates, the signals will decline. " as reported by the NSF
